We could not have done any of this without the help from my amazing mom! She quite literally brought my sketches to life, including but not limited to completely transforming the face of the building into the little café of our dreams, using a hammer, a chisel, and her own two hands to carve the wooden sign above the window, bending wood to create the entrance curve I couldn’t get out of my head, building our bread shelving, pastry case, and window display from scratch, crafting custom cabinetry in the café, and perfectly replicating the gorgeous antique proofing cabinets I fell in love with and installing them in the bakery.

She is extremely patient and meticulous in her craft, and pretty to boot! It’s been an honor and a privilege working alongside her in this journey, learning and absorbing just like she did from her father and brothers. She made it happen no matter how long we worked into the night, and we are endlessly grateful for her time and experience. We now have a space that we love to be in every single day. Thank you, Mama! We love you!

As for the man behind the scenes, if you are local to the shop you have probably seen my dad more than you’ve seen any of us over the last year! We are so grateful for his guidance and relentless positivity. His tireless energy has gotten us through many hurdles and he has generously dedicated nearly all of his time to this project since before we even signed the lease. Thank you, Dad! We love you, too!
